Project Dignity Wants YOU!

CCA’s Homeless Initiative is supporting Project Dignity, a charity that
serves people who are homeless and living in motels. These people
include our students. Here are some words from their website:
“It has been our experience that people living in motels are the most
under-served and misunderstood of all people who are homeless… We
believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect,
in a compassionate and caring manner. Our main function is
to love our homeless friends. It is our mission to assist them and ease
their daily burdens. It is our goal to help them successfully move into
their own homes.”

What to Donate:
Project Dignity can use checks, cash and grocery store gift
cards.

They cannot use clothing, bedding, pet food or other bulky items,
because the families they serve move quite often and by necessity
travel light.

We know that community college faculty have big hearts for those in
need. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated by these
families.
