Over 20% of CCA’s annual budget is returned to our chapters through the following grants as a way of supporting the advocacy, bargaining, and day-to-day operations of these local associations. CCA offers a wide range of grants to help fund and support chapters. Grants are offered to chapters on a reimbursement basis, and they are separate from CTA and NEA grants

CCA Part-time Membership Tracking Grant
CCA is offering a new grant to assist our chapters in reconciling their membership rosters each month. Any chapter that represents part-time faculty can apply for the grant, which will start as of the date of application. Chapters are encouraged to apply to help with this important and essential work.


CCA Local Chapter Reassigned Time Grant
Local Chapter Reassigned Time grants reimburse districts for hourly release time for members of the local to perform essential work for the local (e.g., training for negotiators, bargaining prep and/or at-the-table time; serving as communications officer for the local; leading or serving on a local organizing or membership committees, serving as a local grievance officer). Chapters can apply at anytime during the year. Grant Proposals received for the following budget year will be considered pending Council approval at the CCA Spring Conference
CCA Innovative Grant
CCA offers Innovative Grants up to $5,000 for projects that support local chapter operations. Applications for CCA Innovative Grants must be submitted prior to the events for which the chapter seeks reimbursement. Chapters can apply at anytime during the year. Grant Proposals received for the following budget year will be considered pending Council approval at the CCA Spring Council.

CTA Institute for Teaching Grant
The CTA Institute for Teaching mission is to enhance, support, and sustain high-quality teaching and high-quality public schools for all California students. Through mobilizing teachers, special programs, research, conferences, networking, and community-based coalitions, the CTA Institute for Teaching seeks to advance public education and promote the common good of our students and communities.
